Jacob, A Contemporary Retreat:
A Modern Yet Timeless Turnkey Project in Paris

Project type: Residence
159 sq m
decoration and turn-key project

Transforming this 159-square-meter apartment in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés into a turnkey project in Paris was a rewarding challenge. Nestled in a former 18th-century hôtel particulier, this exquisite space features soaring 3.85-meter-high ceilings, a grand living room, a kitchen dînatoire, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a charming powder room—perfect for an American family of four seeking Parisian sophistication.

Our work began months before gaining access to the apartment, meticulously planning every detail to ensure a seamless transformation. Once access was granted, we had a short three-week window to bring the design to life. During this time, we painted, made minor renovations, installed custom shades, and curated a fully turnkey interior that perfectly balanced timeless charm with modern comfort.

Key highlights include a dazzling antique mirror and chandelier from the Marché aux Puces, a rare first-edition Wishbone chair, a 1950s Scandinavian dining table, and reupholstered Danish armchairs. We added artistic flair with curated pieces, Venetian snake-design side tables, and a whimsical 18th-century marble apple sculpture. Anchoring the living room is a bespoke modern sofa from our private label, upholstered in sumptuous Pierre Frey blue fabric.

Turnkey projects like this showcase the harmonious blend of antique treasures and contemporary design, resulting in a home that feels both elegant and livable. Thanks to careful planning, trusted artisan partners, and our dedicated team, this Parisian apartment is now a timeless reflection of its owners’ unique style and personality.

From Lichelle

There is something incredibly rewarding about walking into a home after months of preparation and seeing every detail come together exactly as imagined. By then, most of the work has already been done—the planning, the decisions, the coordination, and the countless refinements that remain unseen.

Perhaps that is what I enjoy most about turnkey projects. When they are thoughtfully prepared, a home doesn’t feel newly finished—it simply feels ready to be lived in.

See the Before & After of Jacob Project

A 159m2 apartment in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, handed over as an empty shell inside a former 18th-century hotel particulier with 3.85m ceilings. The challenge was to create a contemporary French interior that felt genuinely Parisian for an American family settling into Paris life, without the heaviness of a period reproduction. Working as a fully turnkey interior design Paris studio, Lichelle Silvestry sourced antiques from the Marche aux Puces, specified custom pieces, and delivered a modern Parisian interior ready to live in within three weeks.
